Jack on holiday - and flying on a plane

This is Cool !!
We've just been on our first holiday with Jack (hence the lack of recent posts) to the south of France where Charlie's mum and dad have a lovely place. We stayed with them, which was great as it gave us both a bit of a break as well.
We were a bit concerned about Jack flying but he was fine as long as we kept him sucking on his dummy while we took off and landed so his ear's popped with the change of pressure. From this pic he looked as though he was loving it!

One of our favourite baby Jack pics

I'm Cute

As Jack gets older - he's now six-and-a-half months old - he's definitely developing more of a character. He now goes ever so slightly crazy when he doesn't get what he wants and his vocal range has certainly developed to include a wide range of noises from frustrated grunts to high-pitched squeals of excitement. For these pics he was happy to pose in his new favourite position - sitting up!

Jack's starting to sit - well with some help

Learning to sitLast weekend while the weather was dreadful and we had to spend most of the long Bank Holiday weekend locked up in our homes as the rain fell outside, we noticed that Jack was starting to sit up and stay sitting up with a little help from his hands by leaning forward.

This seems to be quite normal timing for babies and within the next month he should start to sit unaided allowing him to explore with his hands.

It's time for us to watch out and to start thinking about baby proofing our home! He's already started throwing his toys on the floor to get us to return them to him!
